# The Power of Collections

> A showcase of the many ways Collections can be used to create, collaborate, and earn. Behind the scenes, every Collection is more than just a folder — it's a Universal Profile. That means it can own assets, set permissions, interact on-chain, and evolve over time. This unlocks a rich, composable foundation for all kinds of social and creative experiences. From private archives to curated galleries, open communities, or token-gated access. Collections are fully programmable and deeply flexible. Fine-grained permissions make it easy to bring others in, without giving up control. Think of them as onchain spaces — built for creators, collaborators, and collectors. This series explores just a few of the many use cases made possible when you own the platform, not just post on it.
